- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Boil squash about 15 minutes, or until tender. Drain.
- Add milk, butter, egg, onion, salt, pepper, and sugar to the squash. Mix well.
- Pour mixture into a 9x9 or 8x8 casserole dish.
- Sprinkle cheese and then crackers on top of casserole.
- Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.
