Grandma's Fool-Proof Pastry

The vinegar makes it fool-proof

• Yields: 2 crusts

Ingredients

• 4  cups flour
• 1 3⁄4 cups  Crisco
• 1  tablespoon sugar
• 2  teaspoons salt
• 1  tablespoon vinegar
• 1  egg
• 1⁄2 cup water

Directions

1. Sift dry ingredients together then cut shortening in with pastry blender. Blend last 3 ingredients and combine into flour mixture. Stir and form into ball; chill.
