Grandma's Cake Brownies

Ingredients

• Brownies

• 2  cups flour
• 1  tablespoon  cocoa
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup  Crisco
• 1⁄2 cup sour cream
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 2  cups sugar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1  cup water
• 2  eggs, beaten
• 1  teaspoon baking soda

• Frosting

• 1⁄4 cup butter
• 2 -3  tablespoons milk
• 4  tablespoons  cocoa
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1 3⁄4 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions

1. Brownies:
2. Preheat oven to 400°F.
3. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, salt.
4. Bring oleo, water, and Crisco to a boil.
5. Combine hot ingredients with flour mixture.
6. Add eggs, sour cream, baking soda, vanilla.
7. Pour into 15x10-inch pan.
8. Bake in 400°F oven for about 20 minutes.
9. Frosting:
10. Once brownies are mostly cooled, boil oleo, milk, and cocoa.
11. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat in with a whisk.
12. Spread carefully over brownies.
