Grammy's Southern Tossie Cookies

My Gramma Cassidy was a wonderful cook, and especially famous for her pies. These cookies are like mini pecan pies and soo yummy.

• Yields: 2 dozen

Ingredients

• Crust

• 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
• 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
• 1  cup flour

• Filling

• 1  egg
• 1  cup brown sugar
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄4 cup  broken pecans (approximately)

Directions

1. Mix crust ingredients with a mixer until dough forms.
2. Divide into 24 cups of a mini-muffin pan.
3. Press dough onto sides and bottom of pan. (Pampered chef has a wooden "pusher" tool that does this for you automatically.).
4. Mix egg, sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl or measuring cup.
5. Place several broken pecans in bottom of each dough-lined cup.
6. Spoon filling over pecans.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.
