Gramma's Meatloaf

When I was little I was allowed to help mix all the ingredients. It was a great way to get messy and not get in trouble. great taste. It also makes great sandwiches the next day. Show more

Serves: 8-10

Ingredients

  • 1  lb ground beef
  • 1  lb ground pork
  • 1  lb  ground veal
  • 1 (1 5/8ounce) package  Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2  eggs
  • 1  cup milk
  • 1 12 cups  bread cubes
  • 4  slices bacon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine meats and soup mix and blend well.
  3. Combine eggs and milk & mix into meat.
  4. Blend bread cubes into mixture.
  5. Place into large loaf pan & cover with strips of bacon.
  6. Place into preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until thermometer reads 180°F.
  7. Allow to rest for 15 minutes then remove from pan.
  8. Slice and enjoy.
  9. (You can use another pound of beef instead of veal if this too costly).
