Ingredients
- 17 graham crackers, crushed into crumbs
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
Filling:
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
Meringue:
- 2 egg whites, beaten
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
- Mix together topping.
- Reserve 1/2 cup for topping Press remainder into deep pie plate or shallow baking dish.
- Bake in slow oven (325) until brown.
- Cook in double boiler and fill crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup crumbs on and cover with meringue.
- Brown in oven.
