Goulash Soup

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 quarts beef broth
- 1 lb lean round beef, cubed
- 2 cups peeled diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup cut green beans
- 1⁄2 cup thinly sliced carrot
- 1⁄2 cup diced celery
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1⁄4 cup pearl barley
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Combine all ingredients, except tomato sauce, salt and pepper, in slow cooker; cover and cook on low 6-8 hours, adding tomato sauce during last hour.
- Discard bay leaf; season to taste with salt and pepper.
