Gooey Butter Cookies

Yields: 4 dozen
Ingredients
- 1 (18 ounce) box butter recipe cake mix
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Directions
- Allow butter and cream cheese to soften and preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix cake mix ( you can really use any kind, I have used butter and chocolate) with the butter, cream cheese and egg.
- After the ingredients are all mixed together, put in refridgerator over night or for at least 4 hours.
- Roll into balls (about the size of a cherry or slightly larger) and roll in powdered sugar.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- I sometimes sprinkle a little extra powdered sugar on top after they come out of the oven, but this is not neccesary.
