Ingredients
Crust
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄3 cup butter
Cake
- 1 1⁄4 cups sugar
- 3⁄4 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2⁄3 cup evaporated milk
- 1⁄4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- powdered sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 Grease bottom and sides of a 9x9 baking dish.
- Crust-In mixing bowl stir the flour and sugar to combine, cut in the butter until it resembles fine crumbs and starts to cling together.
- Press into the bottom and on sides of pan.
- Cake-In mixing bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and mix until combined.
- Add alternating the flour and milk, mixing after each addition.
- Add corn syryp and vanilla, mix at medium speed until well blended.
- Pour batter into crust lined pan.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Bake 30-40 min or until cake is almost set.
- Let cool in pan.
