Golden Age Cherry Pie Cake

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
TOPPING
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350*F.
- Cream margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternating with 1 cup milk.
- Pour batter in 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Spoon 1 can cherry pie filling over batter.
- Blend the topping ingredients and crumble over filling.
- Bake at 350*F for 30 minutes.
