Gluten-Free Sweet BBQ Bacon Shrimp

Ingredients
- 24 jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 slices hickory smoked bacon, thick-cut
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1⁄2 cup honey
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F, and line a baking pan with foil.
- Defrost and/or warm the bacon in the microwave but do not allow it to crisp.
- Add the spices to the honey and mix well.
- Dip the shrimp into the honey mixture one at a time, then wrap them with 1/3 slice bacon; secure the bacon with toothpicks.
- Arrange the shrimp in the baking pan, cover with half the BBQ sauce, and bake for 10 minutes.
- Baste with remaining BBQ sauce and cook an additional 5 minutes.
