Gloria's Chocolate Syrup Sauce

When I was a girl one of our neighbors used to make this sauce, and I've been making it ever since. It is nice and thick, couldn't be easier to make, and goes perfectly over vanilla ice cream.

• Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients

• 2  cups sugar
• 1  cup milk
• 2  tablespoons cornstarch
• 2  tablespoons cocoa powder

Directions

1. Mix dry ingredients together, and transfer to a saucepan.
2. Whisk in the milk.
3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened.
