Ingredients
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 20 whole cloves
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup raisins
- 2⁄3 cup slivered almonds
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 gallon red wine
- 750 ml port wine
- 1 cup light rum
- 1 cup aquavit
- orange slice, for garnish
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine cinnamon sticks, cloves, and water. Cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer about 30 minutes. Strain. Discard spices.
- In a 4-quart pan, combine spiced water with remaining ingredients, except orange slices. Heat over medium-low heat. DON'T boil.
- Serve in a punch bowl or from copper stock pot. Garnish top of punch with slices.
