Glazed Strawberry Pie

Ingredients
- 2 cups strawberries
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 (125 g) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (500 g) package whipped topping
- 1 tablespoon icing sugar
- 1 pie shell, baked (9-inch)
Directions
- GLAZE: Combine 1 cup sliced strawberries, 1/4 cup water, sugar and salt in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Mix cornstarch in 1/4 cup cold water. Add to strawberry mixture. Bring to a boil. Continue cooking untl sauce thickens.
- FILLING: Mix 1 cup topping thoroughly with cream cheese and icing sugar. Spread cream cheese mixture in pie shell. Cover with half the strawberry sauce. Cover with whipped topping.
- Chill until set, about 2 hours. Serve 6.
