Glazed Cherry Pie

Ingredients
- 3 ounces cherry gelatin
- 2⁄3 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 baked pie shell, 9 inch
Directions
- Stir gelatin into boiling water in medium bowl until dissolved.
- Combine sugar and first amount of cherries in medium saucepan. Stir. Mash cherries then heat and stir until it boils. Cook for 2 minutes. Add gelatin mixture. Remove from heat.
- Place second amount of cherries in pie shell. Pour hot mixture over top. Just use what pie shell will hold. A bit may need to be left out. Chill at least 4 hours before cutting.
- Note: Fresh cherries in cherry gelatin. Serve with whipped cream for finishing touch.
