Glazed Apple Squares

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine
• 2  tablespoons sugar
• 2  eggs, well beaten
• 1  cup milk
• 2  cups flour
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 4  teaspoons baking powder
• 4  apples, peeled,cored and sliced

• Topping

• 1⁄2 cup butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine
• 1  cup confectioners' sugar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Cream 1/2 c.
2. butter or margarine with the 2 tbsps sugar.
3. Add eggs and sifted dry ingredients aleternately with the milk.
4. Pour into a shallow greased and floured baking tin.
5. Cover with the sliced apples and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.
6. For topping; Mix together the 1/2 c.
7. butter or margarine with the confectioners sugar and vanilla.
8. Spread over the hot cake.
9. Cool and cut into squares.
