Gingersnaps

Yields: 3-4 dozen
Ingredients
- 1 1⁄4 cups shortening
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 eggs
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 5 -5 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon clove
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon ginger
Directions
- Mix first six ingredients.
- Add dry ingredients.
- Let chill for 1 hour.
- Take 1 TBSP dough (I like to make them BIG!) , roll into a ball and roll in granulated sugar.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remember all stove temps are different.
