Ingredients

•  molasses cookie
• 1  cup sugar
• 1  cup shortening
• 1  cup molasses
• 1⁄3 cup water, Boiling
• 1  tablespoon vinegar
• 5  cups flour
• 2  teaspoons baking soda
• 1  teaspoon ginger
• 1  teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses, water and vinegar. Combine.
2. dry ingredients. Beat into creamed mixture. Cover and chill for at.
3. least 3 hours. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch.
4. thickness. Cut out cookies with cookie cutter on glass dipped in flour.
5. place on greased baking sheets. bake at 375 for 8 minutes or until.
6. edges are lightly browned.
