  1. preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. grease 9x13 pan (preferably glass).
  3. pour boiling water/coffee over butter, sugar, molasses, and honey.
  4. stir until butter is melted.
  5. add eggs, beat well.
  6. mix dry ingredients.
  7. add dry to wet and mix until just combined.
  8. pour into pan and bake 1 hour.
  9. sprinkle top with powdered sugar (optional).
