Gingerbread

Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1⁄2 cup Dark Karo syrup
- 1 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- Grease and flour and 9 x 13 pan.
- Make sour milk by adding 1 tsp of vinegar to a cup of milk.
- Mix all ingredients together and put into the pan.
- Bake at 350° until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 30 minutes.
