Ginger Tea Sauce

My husband was put on a very low sodium diet. Among a few things he misses is Soy Sauce. This is a replacement sauce for him. It does not taste at all like Soy sauce, but adds flavor. I have tried it with hot pepper flakes added as well, if you want more spice. Show more

Directions

  1. Remove the strings form the bags, or use loose tea in cheese cloth.
  2. Place all ingredients in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat. Simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Strain.
  5. Allow to cool.
