Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Add vanilla and orange zest. Sift flour, measure, sift again with ginger, cinnamon, salt and soda.
  4. Add flour and buttermilk alternately to butter mixture. Bake in a waffle iron.
