Ginger Cookies (ginger Nuts)

Ingredients
- 250 g butter
- 200 ml sugar
- 2 eggs
- 5 tablespoons lyle's golden syrup
- 4 (250 ml) flour
- 5 ml bicarbonate of soda
- 30 ml ground ginger
- 10 ml ground cinnamon
- 5 ml ground cloves
- 125 ml extra sugar, for coating
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Beat eggs and syrup together.
- Beat in butter.
- Sift in dry ingredients and mix well.
- Scoop out tablespoonsful of dough and coat in sugar.
- Bake for 13 minutes.
- Cool on wire rack.
