German Apple Cake

Untried by me. Highly recommended by Dad. This was another of my Step Mother's recipes. Look forward to making it soon, seems like a very warm, homey Autumn dessert. If you get to it before me do let me know what you think! Show more

Directions

  1. Beat the eggs, oil and vanilla until foamy.
  2. Mix the next 5 ingredients (sugar through salt) in a separate bowl.
  3. Add to egg mixture.
  4. Fold in apple slices gently.
  5. Spread into a 9x13 baking pan.
  6. Top with nuts.
  7. Bake 350°F for 40-60 minutes.
