General Tom's Masala

Ingredients
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 1⁄4 cup ginger, diced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, diced
- 1 (14 ounce) can smoked diced tomatoes
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon malt vinegar
- salt
- 1⁄4 cup fat-free half-and-half or 1⁄4 cup cream
- 14 ounces garbanzo beans (chick peas)
Directions
- Caramelize the onion over medium heat for (18-20 minutes).
- Add in garlic, ginger and jalapeno cook for (2-3 minutes).
- Add in garbanzo beans.
- Add the half & half and simmer for a few minutes.
- Serve.
