Garlic Soup

Ingredients
- 2 small onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 6 cups chicken broth or 6 cups vegetable broth
- 1⁄4-1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- Saute onions and garlic in butter for about 3 minutes.
- Stir in flour until well blended.
- Gradually add broth and bring to a boil.
- Cook and stir about 2 minutes, until thickened.
- Reduce heat, simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add cayenne.
- You can also add cooked rice to this soup for a different version.
