- heat oven to gas 7 425f.
- mix flour and salt,rub in butter and stir in sugar and fruit.
- mix the egg and milk together and add to other ingredients reserving a little to brush tops later.
- knead the dough lightly on a floured surface then roll out to 1/2 inch thickness.
- cut into 2 1/2 inch rounds until all dough used.
- brush tops with leftover egg/milk mix and bake for ten minutes.
