Fruit Salad Dressing

I can sit and eat the dressing alone! This is a family holiday classic.

Ready In: 20 mins

Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 2  eggs, well beaten
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1  lemon, juiced
  • 12 pint  whipping cream
  • 1  pinch salt

Directions

  1. Beat eggs well; add sugar; Juice of lemon and pinch of salt.
  2. Cook in double boiler until thick.
  3. Let cool.
  4. Before serving whip cream and fold into lemon mixture.
  5. Pour over cut up fruit.
  6. I cut-up assorted fruit and toss with this dressing.
  7. Chop up bite size pieces of apples (skin on),banana's,pineapple chucks (drained very well),oranges, walnuts and maraschino cherries.
  8. Chill several hours.
