Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄4 lb butter (1 stick)
- fresh fruit (peaches, blueberries, apples or cherries)
Directions
- Melt butter in 8 x 8 cake pan.
- Mix remaining ingredients together into pan.
- Spoon sweetened fruit (to taste) over batter.
- Bake at 375 for 35-45 minutes.
- (NOTE: if you don't have fresh fruit, you can use frozen but reduce milk to 1/2 cup).
