Frosted Pecans

Yields: 1 pound pecans

Ingredients

  • 1  egg white
  • 1  tablespoon  cold water
  • 1  lb pecans, halved (this is equivalent to 4-5 cups)
  • 1  teaspoon salt
  • 1  teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1  cup sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Liberally spray a baking sheet with cooking spray, such as Pam.
  3. Beat egg white and water until foamy, not stiff.
  4. Stir in pecans to coat.
  5. Mix salt, sugar and cinnamon together and add to coated pecans.
  6. Toss pecans until thoroughly coated.
  7. Place coated pecans on cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 30-35 minutes, TURNING EVERY 5-6 MINUTES (this is VERY important to the success of the recipe) Remove from oven and stir again before cooling.
