Ingredients
for cookie
- 3⁄4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
for frosting
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 1⁄4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1⁄4 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 36 pecan halves
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°F
- Combine brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
- Add egg, milk and 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring; continue beating until well mixed.
- Reduce speed to low; add all remaining cookie ingredients. Beat until well mixed.
- Drop dough by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until set.
- Transfer to wire rack. Cool completely.
- Combine cream cheese and 2 tablespoons butter in small bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy.
- Reduce speed to low; add all remaining frosting ingredients except pecans. Continue beating until smooth and creamy.
- Spread 1 teaspoon frosting on each cookie; top with pecan half.
