Frosted Cranberry Drop Cookies

This is a Country Woman recipe. They are delicious and I think taste even better after freezing.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars.
  3. Add milk, egg, and orange juice; mix well.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and soda; add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  5. Stir in cranberries and nuts with spoon.
  6. Drop onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes.
  7. Cool.
  8. For frosting, heat the butter in a saucepan over low heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  9. Cool for 2 minutes, transfer to a small mixing bowl.
  10. Add sugar and vanilla.
  11. Beat in water one tablespoon at a time until you get a frosting density that can easily go onto cookies.
  12. Frost the drop cookies.
