Frosted Cookie Brownies

This came to me online from ToH and boy does it sound good, I searched and there 2 other recipes with similar names. But not the same thing. With a crisp cookie crust and a fluffy frosting, These brownies are the best. Show more

  1. Press cookie dough into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan.
  2. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine the marshmallows, chips and butter; cook and stir over low heat until melted and smooth.
  4. Transfer to a large bowl; cool. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually stir into marshmallow mixture. Stir in nuts.
  6. Spread over cookie crust.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool on a wire rack.
  9. For Frosting:
  10. In a small saucepan, combine the marshmallows, milk, butter and chocolate.
  11. Cook and stir over low heat until smooth.
  12. Remove from the heat; beat in confectioners' sugar until smooth.
  13. Frost brownies. Cut into bars.
