Frikadellar

This is a Danish meatball. They said it was in a very old cookbook. Serve over parslied potatoes.

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lbs ground beef
  • 1  cup  breadcrumbs, dried
  • 12 cup milk
  • 1  egg
  • 14 cup onion, minced
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 2  pinches thyme
  • 4  tablespoons flour
  • 1  cup  cream
  • 3  tablespoons  oil

Directions

  1. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, salt, pepper and thyme.
  2. Let rest 1/2 hour.
  3. Make meatballs.
  4. Dust with flour; save flour.
  5. Brown in oil.
  6. Add remaining flour and cream.
  7. Cook together until gravy forms.
  8. Serve over parslied potatoes.
