  1. Cook the onion in the butter until soft then add the garlic and chili and cook for a further minute.
  2. Drain the beans, reserving the cooking liquid. Add the cooked beans, with a little of their cooking liquid and whiz in the food processor.
  3. Remove beans to a bowl, stir in onion, garlic, and chili and season to taste.
