Fried Green Tomatoes - Just like Granny's!

Ingredients
- 2 green tomatoes
- 1⁄4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten
- vegetable oil
Directions
- Wash and slice tomatoes to 1/4-inch thick.
- In a shallow bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper and cajun seasoning.
- Dip each tomato slice into the egg, then coat in the cornmeal mixture.
- Fry on each side until golden; drain on paper towel.
