Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 2 cups bacon drippings
- 1 cup peanut oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- kosher salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 medium green tomatoes
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 1 cup cornmeal
Directions
- Mix Bacon drippings and peanut oil and heat until sizzling.
- mix milk, buttermilk and 1 egg and dip sliced tomatoes in mixture.
- Mix flour and cornmeal and seasonings and dip tomatoes in flour.
- coat toamtoes with panko and fry 2 minutes on each side.
- drain on paper towels.
