Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons shortening, melted
- 1⁄2 cup sliced fresh strawberries
Directions
- Stir the dry ingredients together.
- Add milk, egg and shortening.
- Stir in strawberries being careful not to over-mix.
- Bake in a well-greased muffin pan at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
