Fragrant Ginger-Hot Pepper Sauce

I like to marinate flank steak in this.

Yields: 1/2 cup

Ingredients

  • 1  teaspoon  vegetable oil
  • 14 cup  minced peeled gingerroot
  • 2  teaspoons  crushed  red peppers
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2  cloves garlic, minced
  • 14 cup  chopped fresh cilantro
  • 14 cup  minced green onion
  • 2 12 teaspoons water

Directions

  1. Heat veg oil in a small skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced ginger root, red pepper, salt and garlic; saute 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; spoon into a small bowl and stir in remaining ingredients.
