Flavorful Sausage and Cabbage

Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage (pork or turkey)
- 1 small head white cabbage
- 1 medium onion
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Steam sausage in about 3/4 cup water until liquid evaporates, then brown in pan.
- In drippings, add onion and cabbage and cook until tender.
- Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer approximately 20 minutes.
