Flambeed Morello Cherries

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 19 ounces jar morello cherries or 19 ounces bing cherries, drained
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons dark rum
Directions
- melt the butter in a skillet.
- Saute the cherries and sugar in the butter over high heat for 2 minutes.
- add the rum and flambe immediately. Reduce for 1 minute.
- Serve hot over ice-cream.
