Ingredients

  • 13 cup flax seed
  • 1 14 cups steel cut oats (Irish)
  • 23 cup  dried apricot, coarsely chopped
  • 23 cup  dried apple, coarsely chopped
  • 23 cup  dried banana, chip
  • 12 cup  cracked wheat
  • 12 cup  uncooked regular grits
  • 12 cup  oat bran
  • 13 cup  wheat bran
  • 34 teaspoon salt
  • 13 12 cups water

Directions

  1. Place flaxseed in a spice or coffee ginder; process until ground coarse.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground flaxseed, oats, and the next 8 ingredients; stir well to combine.
  3. Bring water to a rolling boil in a large saucepan.
  4. Add in cereal; cover and lower heat; simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Uncover and cook 2 minutes or until thick, stirring constantly.
  6. Serve immediately.
