Five Bean and Bacon Bake

Ingredients
- 1 lb bacon
- 3 large onions, sliced
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 cup vinegar
- 16 ounces butter beans
- 16 ounces green beans
- 16 ounces lima beans
- 16 ounces dark red kidney beans
- 16 ounces baked beans
Directions
- Fry bacon until done, not crisp; drain.
- Set aside.
- Reserve 2 T. bacon drippings in skillet.
- Reduce heat and add onions, brown sugar, vinegar and garlic powder to skillet.
- Stir well.
- Cover and cook 2 minutes or until onions are slightly soft.
- Then drain and combine butter beans, green beans, green lima beans and dark red kidney beans.
- Mix undrained baked beans with above bean mixture.
- Combine bean mixture, onion mixture and one half of the bacon slices (crumbled) in a 3 quart casserole.
- Top with remaining bacon slices.
- Bake, uncovered 1 hour in 350 oven.
