Firehouse Chili

This is a great chili recipe!! I have tried many different chili recipes. I could never find the ONE, and so a little blending of different recipes and this recipe was created. It taste best the longer you let it cook. This recipe also freezes great too. Show more

  1. Heat oil in a large pot.
  2. Add the onions and cook over medium heat until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir in meat and cook until brown.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, ceyenne and beans.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
  7. Simmer at least 2 hours.
