Fig Preserves Cake

This recipe was given to me by my English teacher, who got it from a Mrs. Jean Brannon at her church. Its a nice way to use the preserves - the sauce is excellent! Show more

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients.
  2. Add oil and beat until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and then add milk gradually.
  4. Add figs, nuts, and vanilla.
  5. Bake in a greased 13x9 inch pan at 325 degrees Farenheit for about 45 minutes.
  6. while hot, pour sauce over cake in pan.
  7. For sauce.
  8. Mix all ingredients, boil for 3 minutes.
