Yields: 1 cup
Ingredients
- 1 cup dried mission figs (6 oz)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 pinch salt
Directions
- remove stems from figs.
- put figs and lemon juice in a processor, process until figs are chopped.
- put chopped figs, water, syrup and salt in a saucepan.
- bring to boil, lower heat to simmer and cook 25 minutes until thick.
- cool, serve.
