  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta until tender. Drain.
  2. In a large skillet melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and cook until soft, 2-3 minutes. Stir in spinach and cook, tossing, for 1 minute.
  4. Add pasta and cream to spinach and raise heat to medium high. Cook just until cream slightly thickens, about 3 minutes. Add cheese and pepper. Toss to coat.
