  1. Heat oil in a medium skillet; add the onion and sauté until golden; stir in the tomatoes and garlic. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile cook the farfalle in plenty of boiling salted water, 3 minutes.
  3. Add the lima beans and cook until both the pasta and lima beans are tender. Drain.
  4. Toss the onions and pasta together and toss until blended.
