Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 4 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 1⁄2 cups shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Mix shortening and sugar.
- Add beaten eggs and molasses.
- Combine with dry ingredients.
- Roll in one inch balls.
- Roll in sugar.
- Place on greased cookie sheets about an inch apart.
- Bake 375F 10 minutes.
- Keep in tightly covered container for a soft cookie.
