Family Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup shortening
• 1⁄2 cup peanut butter
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1⁄2 cup  packed brown sugar
• 1  egg
• 1 1⁄4 cups flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
• 3⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Cream shortening and peanut butter with sugars.
2. Add egg mix in thoroughly.
3. Blend all dry ingredients together, add to shortening mixture, mix well.
4. Chill dough.
5. Heat oven to 375' degrees F.
6. Drop dough by teaspoonful onto lightly greased baking sheet.
7. With fork dipped in sugar lightly press in crisscross.
8. Bake 8-10 minutes.
